From Dream to Reality — AGOM 2025
Who we are?
The Alliance Gonaïvienne d'Outre-Mer (AGOM) is a non-profit organization founded in April 2020 by a group of Gonaïvian citizens living in the diaspora.
Our goal is to implement a solid economy through the realization of works of public interest. Agom also aims to promote educational and cultural activities by providing such services and by carrying out projects that align with social development objectives of the city of Gonaïves.
What we do?
AGOM recruits, finds resources to finance projects, educates and trains new leaders to create a better future for the next generation.
We
recruit
AGOM is recruiting Gonaivians all over the world to join the movement. No one will be left behind. Pass the message around so we can reach our 1000 members goal by the end of 2021.
We
find & fund
Members pay a minimum $5 monthly or $60 yearly fee. With the money collected, Agom will fund at least one sustainable project in many different areas of life in Gonaives every year.
We
educate
We
make life better
By recruiting members, funding sustainable projects, and educating the population, we can make Gonaives the most beautiful city in Haiti, and a source of inspiration for the rest of the country.
What we have achieved
• June 2022 – Hugues Saint Pierre Park: Successfully completed, bringing a modern recreational space to our community.
• May 2024 – Ruelle Laforêt Bridge: Contributed $6,500 to help Gonaïves Debout build a safe crossing connecting Biennac and Laforêt.
• November 2025 – City Welcome Panels: Two monumental panels installed at the Southeast & North entrances, costing approximately. $17,000
Together, we continue to build Gonaïves, improve infrastructure, and create spaces that bring the city to life. Next on the horizon: the first dialysis center in Artibonite.
